The shelter for pilgrims is located within the monastery in which for centuries were the old stables. The facilities are modest, practical and functional as it corresponds to a monastic place and which until recently was taking "the donation".

Surroundings

The Monastery of Santa María de Sobrado dos Monxes (of Monks in English) is one of the major monasteries of medieval origin in the province of A Coruña in Galicia, but now and after the reforms of the XVI to XVIII centuries it is one of the major monuments of Galician baroque. It was declared a nationwide Historical Artistic Monument.

Today, the Monastery of Santa María de Sobrado dos Monxes is inhabited by Benedictine monks.
